About

Hello, lovelies!

My name is Amanda Berger and I’m a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in English Literature. After graduating I will be attending graduate school for a dual masters degree in History and Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archival Studies. Information and knowledge are incredibly sacred. We should work to preserve and conserve all we can, at all costs.

While I’m not comfortable sharing a photo of myself on this platform, I thought I’d share another form of intimacy instead. The bearing of my soul via drawing comics. Below you’ll see two representations of myself: One comic of my children (cats) and one comic depicting the place I love and call home, Detroit. My wife and I both miss our home dearly, especially the beautiful bountiful book shopping trips we used to take. So if you’re ever in Detroit, stop at John K. King books for a used and rare book delight!

Hand Drawn with Love.

As you visit my blog you may notice some patterns in my writing. Some words and themes may be repeated time and again. I love collecting data to discover what’s important to me. Below you’ll see a delightful word bubble from my blog posts, perhaps this will give you some insight into who I am, how I read, and what I enjoy writing about. Or perhaps it won’t tell you a thing! Either way, give it a look over and stay a while.
