Jane Gilbert is a founder and officer of New Leash on Life. The organization transports abandoned and surrendered dogs to local rescue groups with the goal of adopting them out to loving homes. New Leash on Life also tries to educate the public on proper dog ownership through social media with the phrase “It’s hip to snip,” meaning everyone should spay and neuter their pets as a means to prevent litters they are not equipped to take care of. Jane takes great pride in the work New Leash on Life does, and says it is heartwarming to see a positive end results in an adoption story.
