Emma Scott is the co-founder and director of Northwest Dog Project, a no-kill dog rescue in Eugene, Oregon. Her love of dogs and desire to help each one that she meets has helped hundreds of dogs since the rescue was founded in 2014. The rescue was inspired by her first dog, Kyle, who she adopted when she was 18. Kyle’s legacy has created a place for abandoned and neglected dogs to have food, shelter, love and hopefully a “forever home.” Northwest Dog Project was originally going to be a Pit Bull specific rescue, but after seeing so many dogs in need the rescue became all breed inclusive. Scott hopes to expand the rescue by continuing to build the “Senior Sanctuary”, a place for senior dogs to live out their days in peace and happiness.
