POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

President

  • Manages the executive team and makes executive decisions about club
  • Manages accounts/passwords and transferring information to new officers as needed
  • Initiates long-term planning (including annual site visits) with the rest of the team
  • Facilitates regular weekly club meetings; plans and leads regular executive team meetings for club overhead
  • Identifies potential speakers for regular weekly club meetings (shares duty with rest of team)
  • Schedules speakers (shared with Vice President)
  • Liaison with the faculty advisor(s)

Vice President

  • Manages social media accounts and email
  • Maintains communications with alumni regarding updates and news from the club
  • Writes and distributes weekly email announcement and Canvas announcement about regular weekly club meetings (shares with Vice President of Administration)
  • Serves as first contact for any interested members and provides them with support and/or information about the club as needed
  • Identifies potential speakers for regular weekly club meetings (shares duty with rest of team)
  • Schedules speakers (shared with President)
  • Assists the president with their other duties as needed

Director of Marketing

  • Manages the email list for weekly announcements
  • Assists Vice President in managing weekly announcements for regular weekly club meetings
  • Attendance sheets (printing, distribution, collection)
  • Updates and manages the club website
  • Assists the team with scheduling speakers
  • Books the on-campus room for regular weekly club meetings
  • Books spaces for any club events (as-needed basis)
  • Keeps track of any paperwork and/or forms needed to be completed and signed for events such as site visits*

Director of Finance

  • Revises the budget and attends the fall term budget hearing
  • Submits any surplus or transfer of funds requests to ASUO Senate on an as-needed basis
  • Tracks and manages budget on Google Drive
  • Manages club’s coverage of the ODE application fee (see below description)
  • Collects and delivers receipts to ASUO Finance
  • Distributes and collects sign-in sheets
  • Orders pizza for regular weekly club meetings
