Over the years, the issue of animal overpopulation has grown rapidly in the state of Oregon. Due to the rapid increase it has left animal shelters and rescue centers with their hands tied. There simply is not enough room for all the animals in the state of Oregon to be in a shelter. However, with help from private organizations and individuals animals are given a second chance through adoption. Adopting animals in the state of Oregon has become the popular thing to due within the last few years. By adopting an animal you are saving the animals from being forgotten and most of the time euthanized. While some shelters don’t euthanize to control animal population many do. With the help of adoption individuals are contributing to the end of euthanization to control animal population and are able to give the animal a second chance at life.
