On February 1 we assisted with a strategic doing workshop for the Yamhill County Economic Vitality process. We’re already seeing action from that process. The Newberg Graphic reported today on one of the projects that came out of that process–a Regional Trails project that would link communities. According to the Newberg Graphic:
“The Yamhill County Trails Collective made some progress in discussing its plan to build three arterial trails at its latest meeting Feb. 1, but a bigger development may have come earlier in the day at the Economic Vitality Summit in McMinnville.”
The table discussing infrastructure included Chehalem Park and Recreation District Superintendent Don Clements and representatives from the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments (COG). The group identified the regional trails project as their “Big Easy”. Both groups have agreed to become involved and support the project moving forward.
We’re excited to be involved with Yamhill County’s Economic Vitality initiative and to see some early success!
