In the blog post, “10 ways to grow your followers on social media” posted by Jayson DeMers, viewers are able to see the impact social media is having on businesses, and how to gain quality followers that will help your business expand. This post describes 10 different ways businesses can grow their followers on all social media sites. These social media sites are Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Social media has grown tremendously in the past couple of years and businesses are relying on their followers to keep their business up and running. It is crucial for all businesses to understand the affect individuals have on their businesses through social media, and how important it is to start trending hashtags, joining groups, retweeting top businesses, and following the people who are in your target audience.
In these ten simple steps you are able to reconstruct your social media site to gain followers that will help your business grow. People who are looking for new businesses to follow search keywords into the search engine to find companies that offer things that are of interest. Creating an account that is organized and has focused content that is consistent will gain followers quickly because of how appealing the media site looks.
This article is giving great tips to improve your social media site for your business. From personal experience I have seen businesses grow tremendously because they have keeped up to date with their social media site and have targeted their specific audience. All ten steps in this blog post are accurate and if businesses follow these steps they will find that their business will continue to succeed and grow. Social media is taking over the world. Our future will eventually become entirely electronic, businesses must stay active in their social media accounts to succeed to their full potential.
Reflection:
After this first blog post I was able to understand the ways and works of social media. How to gain followers and how to grow your business to receive more customers. I decided to take sometime to update my social media account (Instagram) to gain followers due to the curiosity of this assignment that I had. After doing the 10 steps listed above (for my personal account) I gained 100 followers. Which proves this blog post to be accurate. Blog posts provide useful information that can help with businesses as well as an infinite amount of other things. I found this blog interesting because I am a business major, and I am hoping to have a successful future in business/web design. Overall this assignment gave me the tools to gain followers on social media!
When doing this first blog post I did not understand how blogging could be considered art. For that matter, I did not know how this assignment would be relevant to this course. When setting up my blog I was able to add my own artistic ability. I gave my blog flare by adding backgrounds, fonts, images, videos, text style etc. The instructions were extremely clear and this was the first time I made a blog of my own that I was able to design. After completing the steps produced by Professor Scott Huette I was able to serf the blogs and read my peers “about me.” This artifact is one of the most important steps of this course in my opinion. I believe that this assignment gave me the tools to succeed in this course (due to blogging).
Future Goals:
In the future I hope to continue to create blog posts and enhance my skills. Since I am going to be a business major understanding how to post blogs would be very beneficial. One day I hope to create my own fitness weight loss plan, and have my own workout studio. This class has provided me with many insights regarding posting blogs and understanding the creativity of blogs. One day I hope to have my own personal blog, which I can update with images and videos etc. I also plan to start my own fitness blog, with motivational images and quotes.
