Heritage Months:
The College of Education recognizes the many cultures and heritage that comprise our college’s community. Throughout the year we look for authentic and naturally occurring ways to celebrate those cultures and experiences and welcome community members who often share their ideas of ways we can make those celebrations visible and inclusive. In addition, the University of Oregon provides a number of experiences aligned with many of the national heritage months. Those events and opportunities can be found on the UO Heritage Months web pages and are advertised regularly throughout the year.
College of Education Awareness
The Voices for Equity: Intent vs. Impact exhibit Voices for Equity: Intent vs. Impact Exhibit was a powerful exhibit hosted by the College of Education in 2021 that continues to generate discussion and feedback. Feel free to browse and to consider the stories shared by previous UO community members who used their voices to draw attention to the ways that exclusion can show up and impact an individual’s experience in spite of positive intent.
