Recidivism Forecasting Challenge: Official Results

National Institute of Justice’s Recidivism Forecasting Challenge aims to improve the ability to forecast recidivism using person- and place-based variables with the goal of improving outcomes for those serving a community supervision sentence. This challenge asked data scientists to build recidivism forecasting models using data provided by NIJ to examine factors related to successful offender reentry.​

Cengiz Zopluoglu is one of the winners for the challenge. Cengiz’s submissions (Team CrescentStar) placed 3rd in three of the large team categories.
