Job Description:
The Instructional Support Associate will be part of a team that supports the teaching labs serving over 2000 students annually.
This position will prepare, test and manage the distribution of chemicals, instruments, supplies and coordinate waste removal. Primary responsibility will be for the general chemistry and analytical chemistry lab courses, but the incumbent may be assigned to help in other lab courses as needed. Additionally, s/he will help maintain and troubleshoot advanced chemical instrumentation and assist in creating and editing new course materials, including lab experiments.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced educational environment.
- A Master’s degree and experience overseeing a teaching lab is preferred
- Experience interacting with a large student body and graduate student teaching assistants preferred

Special Notes: This position has a 12-month obligation. Day and evening hours may be required on a weekly basis. Weekend hours may also be required.
