Tabling Results

  Climate change is a complicated issue to discuss in a tabling setting. We found that it was difficult to engage with our target demographic. Tabling events were for outreach, and we did not see a correlation between followers gained and tabling. During our two on-campus events, we were assigned tables further from high-traffic areas than expected, this led to overall fewer interactions. We noticed that people were more willing to engage when they knew that they would receive an incentive such as reusable water bottles or bags. Event demographics also impacted our interactions, for example, Metamorphose was an Earth Day event that brought in an environmentally conscious audience while the Eugene Marathon Expo and campus events brought a wider range of audience.
