AAD610 Art Marketing, Media, and Communication
Learning Objectives:
- Develop and hone design skills as they pertain to working within an arts organization.
- Identify the core concepts of marketing, media, and communications and how these relate and can be implemented in various art worlds.
- Gain a better understanding of how to market (effectively) to an arts organization or institution while taking into account the needs of both the institution and the audience.
- Learn more about WordPress in general.
Learning Reflections:
I’m not even sure where to start with this. Looking back at my objectives, I can’t believe it, but I think I exceeded those expectations. I came into this class with absolutely no experience in Adobe and now I feel confident with Illustrator and In Design. I also enjoy messing around with them, which is amazing in itself. Another amazing thing that I’ve learned in this class is that I think i might really like marketing. I got such aamazing feedback about my design that I’ve started to think this might be something I want to move forward with. I just feel that I’ve learned so much about marketing and design and I can’t wait to see if the logo I’ve created claims a place with the organization, Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse. Can’t wait for next term!
