The Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse (YSKP) is fairly active across different media channels including the following:
Website: The website for Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse seems to be updated regularly. Their theatre season is during the summer so, naturally, during the off season the amount of updates made to the website is minimal. It does include like to other media outlets and provides tons of information on past shows and events.
Blog: The YSKP blog is an extension of the website and is not updated nearly as much as their other media resources. It was last updated in February by the former Artistic Director.
Facebook: I am pretty impressed with how often YSKP updates their Facebook page. During the season it works as a marketing tool as well as a resource for those involved in specific shows, in case of schedule changes or other things that might happen. During the off season, they tend to look back of previous seasons (#tbt) as well as using the page to thank donors, and keep the community updated.
Twitter: More so than Facebook, I am impressed with the upkeep of the YSKP Twitter page. It works in the same way as their Facebook page with frequent updates about the organization or little blurbs about past performances.
YouTube: I think YSKP’s use of YouTube is great. It isn’t a resource that is used incredibly often but it was very prominent in the past year when the celebrated their 20th season. They encouraged alumni to submit videos looking back on their experience at YSKP that the organization could upload. Since the summer it hasn’t been used frequently but it was a great resource during their anniversary celebration.
