Susan Fischer, a woman who found joy in helping those disabled or lonely find a companion in an animal. Fischer herself has a physical handicap, cerebral palsy. Because of Fischer’s desire to help others she cofounded a nonprofit called Child’s Haven.
“Not everything needs to be fixed with drugs or by someone in a white lab coat. Most things can be made better if you just go outside and enjoy life with a companion.” Fischer says while talking about using horses as a form of therapy.
