The Women’s Resource Center on The University of Oregon’s campus works to advise, assist, and empower women. In this room, events and fundraisers such as toiletry drives and an International Women’s Day celebration are planned. This workspace allows for conversations on women’s issues and turning those words into actions.
Momo Wilms-Crowe, 19, works at the Women’s Resource Center. She remains confidential, as she is trusted with responding to and working with women that are in need of the center’s resources. Wilms-Crowe describes herself as an activist and a feminist, which drives her to be a vocal advocate for women’s rights in both her workplace and community.
Momo Wilms-Crowe, 19, and Caroline Richelsen, 20, spends time working on powerful flyers, each different in their own way, to promote the inclusion of all women.
A bold sign with a strong message sits at the Women’s Resource Center. The sign that was originally created for the Women’s March on January 21st, 2017 serves as a reminder that women are human beings in need of rights for their body.
Momo Wilms-Crowe, 19, sits in the center alongside fellow Women’s Resource Center workers as they work on one of their many events that raise awareness for women and women’s issues. They discuss their upcoming event, which includes activist StaceyAnn Chin and a focus on empowering women of color.
