We did a story on On The Rocks because we wanted to focus on family away from family. On The Rocks represents a group that is not only talented but one that is formed by individuals who share a passion and love for what they do. To perfect the craft, every single one of them plays a vital role in creating a beautiful harmony. Without one person, the unit could not perform to its full potential yet if you take a closer look, each individual has his own diverse story.

After watching this story, we want viewers to get a glimpse into the different stories that make up On The Rocks. With a cappella, the product is what you get out of the whole group and all theses different pieces create one beautiful piece. We wanted people to realize that there are so many different stories to the book of On The Rocks.

We believed that we achieved a better understanding of the group for the viewers. A lot of students especially at the University of Oregon have heard of On The Rocks but don’t necessarily know who they are at a more intimate level. We wanted people to see them as people, not just an a cappella group that sings songs. They are students just like us that just happen to be talented at singing and to influence people to view them as unique puzzle pieces instead of the whole complete puzzle, that would be the biggest accomplishment.

In conclusion, we feel like when people get to know a little more about the individual aspect of the group, they will appreciate the whole product as a whole. As the members of On The Rocks are so unique but not one is more important than the other. That is the beauty of unification from diversity.
