Welcome to my AAD 250 Final Portfolio!

The purpose of my final portfolio is for me to put together all the progress I have made in the last four weeks in this AAD 250 class. I’m hoping to share with you all how my values and perspectives on art throughout culture has formed and changed from researching, reflecting, and writing on different topics throughout this course. Me, being a twenty-one year old college student at the University of Oregon, I feel that my writing perspectives would mainly be directed toward my peers. Because my peers probably have more similar values and perspectives to my own before I had taken this course, I think it is most important to direct my final portfolio to them as my main audience. This way maybe they can similarly look closer at the same topics and see if their values change in their own process as well. This class helped me look into topics that I normally would not even think of and encouraged me to evaluate my own value system. My world is so busy that I don’t normally have the time to stop and even realize what my own values are and form my own opinions on issues in our modern culture. This class forced me to take time to do this, and I feel it was a great thing.

I have never had my own blog before, but I feel this class has improved my blogging skills. I now know how to successfully create a clean and simple style webpage that people can easily navigate, and my Final Portfolio should show off these new skills of mine. I hope you all enjoy it 🙂
