Gaining Insight Outside the Classroom
This was a short week with only one actual day of class on Wednesday. I still felt that this was a successful week for my team in the way that we were able to narrow in on where we want to head with our project. I am proud of the way I have been interacting with my group and speaking my mind about ideas for the project. We are all doing interviews of LCB students to gain some more insight on the issue we have targeted and I am excited to see what kind of feedback we receive because this is our first time reaching outside the class. We know what direction we want to head, but our challenge is going to be making that idea more specific and creating a long-term solution. I believe our interviews will begin to challenge our ideas and give us some insight we wouldn’t have been able to find within our own group. I need to continue to speak my mind about what I believe we need to do and not just go with the flow. I am doing a good job at this in my opinion for the time being, but I have to consciously want to do it for it to happen. I believe as I continue to work at this it will become more natural. My teammates and I work very well together and when we challenge each other it is in a healthy way that allows our team to improve as a whole by speaking our minds and finding the best possible solution. I am excited to see where this project goes, as well as my own personal project in becoming the most professional individual I can be.
