Presenting the Proposal of Career Exploration

March 7th 2014 in Uncategorized

I was excited to present our proposal because of how confident we were in the design and the results we believe the implementation would bring. My teammates and I realized that it was less stressful to do a speech when we knew what we were talking about and not simply memorizing words. I was happy that we had answers to all the questions asked and believe that can be attributed to our knowledge of the proposal and understanding of what we wanted from Career Exploration. I believe my whole team communicated each part of the proposal efficiently and fluently, which helped present our argument in the right light. The way I presented the ideas fluently and efficiently made me proud and I felt like I spoke very clearly, although somewhat quickly. The organization of our presentation made our presentation easy to follow.

Looking back on the obstacles we had to overcome, it feels good to have a proposal that we are confident of and have put research and thought into. The direction of our whole project changed less than a month ago and instead of panicking we worked together and got ourselves to the point we are at today. Seeing the progress that has been made by my teammates, as well as myself, throughout this process makes me proud to be a part of this group. Although we may have had different things to work on, we all improved our communication and leadership skills in some way. This process has given me an experience that I will always be able to look back on when I am in a group setting in the workplace.
