Sharon Blick owns a small, family-run farm named Living Earth Farm located just outside of Eugene, Oregon. Blick was inspired to open her own farm after reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan, which also gave her the courage to raise animals for food.  She emphasizes the importance of giving animals on a farm a happy, fulfilled life- which contrasts directly with the way that animals are raised in industrialized farming practices.
