Geography Security Research

Jesse Clark is currently researching a form of security being done with in Turkey to help relations with the Turks and the Kurds and increase the standard of living of the Kurds. This in turn will make the area controlled by the Kurds (the area in Turkey within the black box) a safer place to live while developing the nation. This is not only making Turkey a safer place all together but improving the relations between the two cultures.

Ken Kato is the assistant director in the University of Oregon’s info graphics lab. He sees over the creation reference maps that tell a person everything from the rooms in the Lillis building to the sewer pipes on campus. The maps have received national recognition along with many awards. Kato also creates the maps used by the FBI as Eugene prepares for large international events such as the Olympic.
