Site Selection

Designing for a site on the water’s edge has always been of interest to me.  The Willamette River is a focal point for the city of Portland, and I feel it’s potential is not being fully reached due to lack interaction.  By providing places of beauty and interest that have direct ties to the river and act as a link between the water’s edge and the urban fabric of the city.

I have selected a site in the Rose Quarter for a few specific reasons.  The adjacency to the river is a major draw to me, and it’s relative closeness to the Lloyd District (which other students are working on developing).

Site analysis soon to come.
