The graduate students in this thesis studio were tasked with examining a material in depth and reporting on its design properties.  I’ve been inspired lately by Victorian era greenhouses and conservatories like the one I grew up with in Pittsburgh, Phipp’s Conservatory.  Because of this I researched steel and some of the structures that made full use of its properties.
