This map shows just how large the parking lots are and how they have spread throughout Hollywood Blvd. The areas dedicated to open parking lots greatly inhibit connectivity within the immediate community and result in asphalt deserts. If these parking lots were developed with underground parking lots, visitors would still have a place to park and there would be plenty of housing and other development opportunity to activate these current blights. By building up instead of out, Hollywood will be able to restore the walkable green streets and boulevards throughout the city.
