Banksy, also known as the guerilla artist, is a famous, yet unknown, English graffiti artist. It is stated that his work first appeared on the walls of Bristol in 2003, where he grew up. Other sources say that he started his iconic work in the late 90s.  Banksy is well-known for his dark humor style, which is represented in his stenciled pieces. His artwork often combines images with slogans, and critiques wars, capitalism, and greed.

Banksy also is a film director. His film Exit through the Gift Shop (2010) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary. In 2014, Banksy was awarded Person of the Year at the Wabby Awards.
