Do you find value in Lyon’s “Three F’s for an Architecture of Regionalism: fitting, framing, and forming?”

I do find some value in Lyon’s “Three F’s for an Architecture of Regionalism: fitting, Framing, and Forming. I find the most value in the fitting aspect of his “Three F’s” I believe that this is the most important aspect of design whether or not you are doing regionalism design. If the piece of architecture is not grounded or designed to be nowhere else but the site that it is to be placed on I do not consider it to be great architecture, it might still be good, but not great. The other two I feel are almost one in the same, framing and forming, in the sense that one cannot exist without the other one. Framing the building is what is going to decide what the forming of the building would be and the forming of the building dictates how one will be framing it.

Would you like to participate in building the Ghosts? (This implies, “would you like to have that design/build experience?” as it is expensive.)

I have had a design/build experience but it was not at a scale of designing a building and building it. I designed furniture and then built the furniture for the client and installed it. I do one day hope to have a sort of design/build experience, all though the costs may be high the experience and knowledge you receive from it are priceless. It makes me think of doing a study abroad or just living in a foreign land, it may be expensive but it gives one life experiences and different perspectives on how things are and can be done.
