Legorreta
In searching for something that’s truly Mexican, has Legoretta found something that actually speaks to the culture and vernacular architecture of Mexico? He uses color and materials where appropriate in order to relate to the vernacular, but it might be a bit of a stretch. The response to the climate is good, especially at Camino Real Hotel, because he gave three different climates for the room, which provide a variety of comfort options while integrating them with views and landscape. The architecture might be great, but it is possible that it doesn’t speak to the culture as strongly as it could. It does seem very climatically appropriate, however.
