HEIDEGGER
1. Yes, I strongly believe that personal interaction does affect the building. It is the occupants who turn the building to a dwelling. Each occupant has a different perception and the space that may seem extremely useful to me may not be used so much by the others. This can be understood only by personal interaction. Without interaction the space just fails to serve the purpose it was created for.
Clients may not exactly have an idea towards what they actually want. It is the responsibility of an architect to understand their taste and make the client understand what they exactly want and how creatively the architect can achieve the purpose. Therefore it is important for a good interaction between the architect and the client inorder to create a space where the client can successfully interact with the building. Ultimately, it is comes down to interaction between the client and the building. So it is important to understand the needs of the client. A building becomes successful when there is good interaction in the spaces created for that specific purpose.
2. Creating a building with authenticity is very important. The thought process every designer undergoes while designing a space is a crucial phase, which is very essential in order to achieve creating a successful space. Each development phase while creating the building has to have meaning and purpose. One example for Heidegger’s fourfold view can be “Falling waters” by FLW. The building is contextually designed where it interacts with the surrounding landscape and the spaces within, and therefore it becomes a successful.
