Ashley and I teamed up for project 3. We decided to create a video showing how a projector could be used to illuminate a surface. We used a tent, a projector, and animal cutouts to create a visual story. This created a very interesting quality of light inside the tent. The walls seemed to dissipate and the tent seemed much larger than it actually was.
Video can be an intensely emotional avenue to connect with a user. It is interesting to see how this could be used to change the feel of an architectural space. While architecture usually connects with a person a more subtle level, video has the ability to bring the user in direct connection with the architecture.
