Portfolio

OVERVIEW

This blog is a collection of my work from my Art and Human Values class. I have designed it to showcase my work and my reflection that I have completed thus far in the class. I am a senior in college, so it’s safe to assume that most of the information will be relevant to my peers, although I highly encourage people of all ages to delve into it. I chose my three favorite assignment that we have completed thus far because I feel like they show who I am and how I define myself. Now this is only half of my portfolio, but I hope that it exemplifies only half of how much I think I have progressed in the term so far.

Even though this is an online class, I believe that it is important to be truthful with reflections because they benefit you. This class has taught me more about myself than anything else. It’s almost as if I have found myself through the art that we have been examining all term long. What is art? Art to me is a form of personal expression. It’s a way of communicating when words don’t seem to be enough. Art is you. Art is me.

The main target of my portfolio is for my audience to see me as an individual. I want them to learn what they can from me and from art. I hope that my reflections help them. Sharing stories tells people who we are and what we hope to become. This is not the sole intention of this blog, however. I would also like people to see how much I have grown as a person through the course of five weeks. I would like for my audience to read each pick and personally reflect upon the subjects as well.

From my blog, I hope my audience sees what I value most in my life. Once they see this, I hope they can imagine the kind of person that I am. I am fun-loving and a free spirit, and people will value this most about my portfolio. I also hope my audience understands how I define art, and how I see the term “art” as being universal. Art is anything you want it to be, and no one should ever reduce it to anything less.

A table of contents was made below for the easier access of my portfolio.

ENJOY.
