All About The Details

Welcome! My name is Jordan Johnson and I am currently a senior at University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. I am due to graduate this spring with a Bachelor of Science in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. I currently serve as the public relations specialist for local software company IDX, LLC. I handle all public relations affairs including company’s social media, promotional materials and trade show coordination

Previously, I have served as the public relations intern for a number of businesses in Eugene, Ore., including Eugene’s City Manager’s Office. I constructed a citywide social media policy as well as a strategic social media plan. I was also able to advance my knowledge of how a public relations firm operates through my internship with VOX Public Relations Public Affairs. During my time there, I was responsible for constructing media lists, newsletters, blog entries and social media plans for a number of different clients.

I discovered my passion for coordinating successful events while serving as an event-planning intern for Cascadia Wildland’s 11th Annual Wonderland Auction.  I enjoyed acquiring auction items, establishing venue design and managing volunteers. Starting this year, I will continue to grow my event-planning experience by interning with the Eugene Metro Futbol Club.
