Trained in typography, screens, pages, and principles of design:

Shareef Achekzai (Designer & Video Producer)

I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember. Attending an art school from 6th-12th grade really changed my life and the direction of what I wanted to do as a career. I began acting for the theatre and film. I enjoyed film acting a lot more, but realized a director can make actors look really bad on screen. So, I decided I was never going to let that happen to anybody else and I was gonna learn the ins and outs of working on films. Film has always been my main passion, but I have learned to love and appreciate all other forms of art. Recently I have been making a lot of graphics, digital drawings, visuals for live sets, and making music. I’m not quite sure where I want to fit in, in the Ad world but I DO know I love to create and if my career allows me to do that I will be extremely satisfied.

Emily Adelman (Designer & Strategist)

I am a creative hybrid, but have been focusing on art direction/design this past year. I feel confident and proud of how far I have come these past two terms and know I will thrive in a high-pressure, upbeat agency. I work best when I am a part of a project from beginning to end – from defining the strategy, adding creative ideation, and then planning/designing executions. I always take initiative and tend to be a leader on every account I work on. I work very well with others and I love taking on new responsibilities where I have the chance to learn.
What makes me most interested/interesting within ad is my passion for learning and growing. I tend to put myself in positions that will challenge me and force me to learn and thats proven I always come out stronger. I also tend to put a lot on my plate and take on a lot at once, but that allows me to grow. Campaigns, for example, was a chance for me to prove to myself that I can really do the damn thing – and my team did. We won. I know I was a huge contribution to the team, from beginning to end, and I will always carry that acknowledgment with me.

Tommy Ainsworth (Designer & Media Planner)

For most of college I was only interested in Design and Art Direction, but after taking several ad classes I’m also interested in the Account Executive and Media Planning positions. I’m a strategic problem solver, effective at working directly with people (whether they’re a client or a teammate), and I have a solid understanding and background of art and design. In many cases of sports, clubs, or group projects, I’ve been the one to step up and fill a spot that needed to be filled. I think I would do good as an Account Executive or Media Planner because of my communication and problem solving skills, but also could be a good Designer/Art Director because of my eye for good design. My portfolio is pretty blank when it comes to Design, and I’m not sure how to show off my skills that would be beneficial for Account Exec or Media Planning positions.

Shan Anderson (Designer & Strategist)

Senior Instructorcat UO that loves helping students maximize their potential. Adobe whisperer.

Hannah Angara (Designer & UX/UI Designer)

I’m a designer and have been working freelance for four years now. Whether it’s designing a spa logo, Instagram post, dental brochure, or a skincare app I love to problem solve through innovative design. I can wear many hats and a quick learner. That being said, I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my craft and I’m always experimenting to find the best quality solution. Outside of school and work, I’m either practicing yoga or traveling the world. Over this past winter break, I spent an entire week backpacking through Japan and getting lost.

Giulio Pozzuoli (Designer)

I am a creative soul with a keen eye and love for design and the many different facets that it pertains too. I love working with other people, bouncing ideas back and forth, and finally working together to achieve our common goal. I am determined to get my foot in the door and show the world, and myself, what Im capable of.

Kaheawai Kaonohi (Designer & Producer)

I’m a designer in love with brand development and implementation with a side exercise in project organization. I believe that brands should be around to promote good within communities. With this in mind I organized and branded the very first Createathon event in Oregon where students and local community members came together to create marketing assets for local nonprofits in need.

Ellen Lyons (Designer)

I love graphic design and digital illustration!

Narges Milani (Designer, Strategist, Social Media Strategist & Video Editor)

I am a senior at the University of Oregon. I am still trying to find my passion in the advertising field. I was originally more interested in a strategist position but, due to my job at Nulia, work with Allen Hall Media, and different classes, I have decided I am more interested in the design aspect. At Nulia, I am a part of the Video Production team where I work as a video editor. In Allen Hall Media, I also worked as a video editor. After taking Writing Design Concepts, I realized a lot of the material I learned working with Adobe Premiere applies to other Adobe Apps. This class was very captivating and fun because I got to work on design and it made me realize that I would like to do more design work.

Dylan Nemione (Designer)

Hello I am Dylan Nemione a senior strategist/designer. I came to Oregon with real world sales/marketing/event planning experience through Nordstorm and handled communications between our department and the brands we worked with. During college I’ve worked on logo design for several podcasts, designed a website for Turner Lumber and work side by side with a vintage sports company curating clothing and design work. I love sports and my dog is named after my favorite basketball player. My dog Bronny is probably the coolest thing about me. I can’t wait to collaborate before joining the real world!

Weikai Ni (Designer, Strategist & Social Media Strategist)

Brad Smith (Designer & Social Media Strategist)

My name is Brad Smith, and I specialize in graphic/web/UI design, photography, and overall content creation in advertising. I built a lot of my design and photography experience and portfolio in the music industry doing a variety of freelance work, including creating album cover arts, event posters, logos, pitch decks, EPKs, and more, for a variety of smaller and more famous artists. For my photography, most of my work has been in photographing concerts and doing portraits/studio shoots. Some of my favorite memories of college have been me grinding away making/selling album cover art so I could afford bus and airport shuttle trips to and from Portland to meet and photograph some of my favorite artists of all time. One thing that holds true across all the work I do is how much I enjoy the process of making something the best it can be. Whether it’s editing a photo or executing a concept/idea for album cover art or ad campaign, the feeling of capitalizing on every small detail and knowing the why behind everything that makes that thing so great is something I’ve always loved striving for. I think this feeling motivates me to welcome new challenges and keep myself continually wanting to learn and do more, rather than being comfortable where I’m at.
