I’m a professor, kayaker, reader, writer, Duck sports fan, and animal lover. I know how to shear the fleece off of an alpaca, spin it into yarn, and knit it into a hat. I hate flying, traffic, or kombucha. Some interesting things I’ve done: rafted over the highest commercially navigable waterfall in the world, repelled down a different waterfall, kayaked through northern California sea caves and around the San Juan Islands, castrated an alpaca (on purpose), and snorkeled with giant sea turtles on a deserted beach in Hawaii.
