Shan Anderson

Hello my name is Shannon (Shan) Anderson, a Senior Instructor at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon, I teach Advertising and Digital Content Creation. I spent twenty years working in the graphic design, IT, and advertising industry helping clients in Eugene and the greater Northwest before coming back to the UO to share my skills and knowledge with the wonderful students of my alma mater.

 I have spent the last twelve years at the SOJC helping develop the mobile digital content creation capabilities of the school and trying to keep us on the cutting edge of the use of technology in our field . I am proud to have helped the students create the first student produced digital publication for the iPad using Adobe DPS.

 In the past I’ve worked on project leading students in the production of digital media for a number of departments on campus, including Student Life, the Alumni Association, and fundraising materials for the UO Foundation. My most recent attention has been on integrating Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and development of the Experience Hub.
