My name is Chris Chávez and I study the relationship globalization, media and culture. One of my favorite things about being a researcher at the University of Oregon is that I get to travel the world learning about how different communities use media to build community and to address social inequality. Human beings are extremely creative, and I am continuously amazed at how we find new ways to create shared meaning.
