My name is Andréa Bauer and I’m 20 years old. I’m a Public Relations major at the University of Oregon and was born in Portland, Oregon. I love going on long walks on the beach and feeling the ice-cold water on my toes or curling up on the couch to read a good book during my spare time. I chose Public Relations as my major because I love knowing what occurs around the world, and it intrigues me. In the future, I believe a career in an industry that controls the daily news is something I would like to be involved in. I want to make an impact on society and gain the skills to connect and understand how to work with future consumers.

For the data visualization project, I ended up deciding on frozen yogurt consumption. I love eating frozen yogurt, and it honestly is one of my hobbies I list whenever I write facts down about myself. I wanted to compare my frozen yogurt consumption, topping servings, and how many I had in a week to my little sister Alicia Bauer’s (15 years old, high school) frozen yogurt consumption. I went to the frozen yogurt place by our house and had the manager pull up how many Alicia would eat in a week after school because it had the consumption in their system. I kept all my receipts for every purchase I have made in the past and I counted up the amount I had ate in the past week too. I had fun decorating and creating the page too. I brainstormed ideas from other frozen yogurt advertisements I had seen at their location or online.
