Purpose and Overview
The purpose of the portfolio is to document my progress in this AAD course and reflect upon the valuable thinking and practical skills I have learned during this learning process. I am also able to review my thinkings during the course and keep track of my own thoughts and critically assess them. This class has been a very valuable learning experience and I want to use this portfolio to demonstrate that.
Objectives
- Explore one’s own value system
- Examine multiple perspectives for evaluation art
- Explore the notion of food as an art-form
- Examine methods for evaluating qualities of art, such as product versus process, the difference between craft and fine art, must art be archival, and what is an aesthetic reaction.
- Evaluate personal values and paradigms around body decoration and physical beauty
- Become familiar with was in which spirituality influences artists
- Examine the role of technology as a force for cultural maintenance and change
- Evaluate the meanings of real and fake and examine their intersection with personal and cultural identity and authenticity
Primary Audience
The primary audience of this portfolio is my professor and peers in this class, as well as the general public who have interests in seeing a student’s work in class.
Organization
This portfolio is designed with individual artifacts and in each artifact, the learning process will be demonstrated and a reflection would be given. A bibliography page would also be available as a separate page.
