Week 7

Spirituality is having the psychological sensitivity and consciousness to feel things that are very deep and sometimes not expressive with language. Spirituality is more like a state of mind that is able to sense everything even if other people think it is not such a big deal. Spirituality is also having the ability to envision and empower without feeling strange or unconfident. Spirituality is to consider everything as limitless and be able to response with ordinary things in everyday life with great compassions.

Spirituality is different from religion because spirituality is more of a life attitude while religion is a social belonging followed by a lot of rules and scriptures. Spirituality is accessible, and needs to be cultivated. One could not just claim he/she is spiritual; he/she must work on the state of mind in order to achieve that status. However, religion could be ascribed from parents and their social groups. People could say they are part of a religion without proving anything about his/her spirituality or sensibility in general.

I define creativity as the ability to generate, recognize and produce ideas, solutions and thoughts into things. Creativity is also the ability to always be energetic and visionary, envisioning futuristic, fantastic things in one’s mundane life. Creativity is also the ability to think out of the box and be different. Creativity is not to be bind by the traditions and the rules, yet being able to effectively solve problems and make everyone happy. Creativity is a life style that could help everyone a lot.

Creativity comes from the allowance for personal freedom and proper education. I think that art education is very important in stimulating creativity. For example, when I was a primary school student, my grade has art class twice a week, and a friend of mine has art class once in a month. I think that the result is that my friend started to imagine less and become less and less willing to create anything. Things like art class motivate people to become more creative and positivistic.
