Enjoy the horror

Reflections:

When I was doing the reflection for horror topic, I searched the images of horror. As soon as all the images loaded, I was so scared to look at them. So I immediately existed out the page. Why horror? From my stand point of view, it would be hard for me understand some people who enjoy watching horror movies as a way to release stress.  I once knew a friend, she loved watching horror movies as the way to release stress.  She said, ” I came home from work everyday. I was so stressful with my work and my boss. The best time of the day is after work, get home, get comfy on the couch, and start to watch a horror movie with a cup of tea and some snacks.”  Probably is because she was not scared by the scenes and sound effects, instead, she enjoyed it.

Just as I stated in my post, one idea that has been brought out by Science Daily, people like watching horror movies because they enjoy being scared. Some people like watching horror movie just because they like them and not being afraid but excited. As I was pointed out from my life values assessment, I rated “enjoyment” as one of the top five choices, that said, I enjoy my everyday life. I will find another way to release my stress, but will nothing related to horror. I am not sure whether my fear about the horror more toward the sound effects or the vision of images. So I am sure horror would definite not help me to release my pressure; instead, it would make me feel more nervous and afraid.

Future goals:

To be honest, I would not try so hard to push myself watching more horror movies in the future. Instead, I would start to read people’s comments on horror movies. I would want to learn how people find watching horror movies could help to release their stress and intense nerves.
