Architectural competitions provide an excellent opportunity to compare how ideas are conveyed. These may give you ideas about architectural graphics and panel layout:

Guggenheim Helsinki (stage 1 entries are simpler)
World Trade Center Site Memorial (many to troll through)
Cebada Community Center (similar size as your building, student competition)
