DESCRIPTION
Located along the southern Swedish coast, this modern bath house looks out to an open horizon. Visitors enjoy indoor pools, steaming saunas and easy access to the cold ocean water. The angular structure sits above the water supported by thin columns. A bridge connects the bath house to the beach shore and creates a dramatic approach. The geometry of the building divides into a men’s and women’s half while captures the breathtaking views. Minimal ornamentation and emphasis on the grey wood material. The Karlshamn Cold Bath House is important because it carries on a Swedish tradition in an extraordinary way.
