This project to create an inventory of existing wayfinding signs for the City of Medford is designed and curated by a geography class at the University of Oregon. The Advanced GIS class is part of the Sustainable City Year Program (SCYP) and will be focusing on real life problems and needs in the City of Medford. THis course is one of approximately 30 courses at the UO across ten different disciplines that are working with Medford this year, focusing on sustainability issues, and directly working to help Medford accelerate city efforts toward greater sustainable policy and action. Students in this class have a tremendous opportunity to make a real difference in Medford while gaining skills translating theory and idealism into practice. SCYP is a program of the Sustainable Cities Initiative (SCI). To learn more, visit http://sci.uoregon.edu.
