Oregon is a very health-conscious state, but Eugene takes “organic” to a whole new level.
For our Gateway 207 project, our group decided to profile local food culture in Eugene. We focused on the Lane County Farmers Market, the vendors, and the consumers. We set out to find out how choosing local foods can affect a community, what local farmers do and how they do it, and why consumers choose to purchase local foods from the market.
