About Us
Meet ZSquared
This dynamic trio came together in crime fighting spirit to tackle the Gateway 3 group project. Consisting of Julia Zinsmeister, Bryan Stiver, and Hayley Stephens, the group dedicated every hour of every day spring term working on the WJ Skatepark Project. Although we work perfectly as a team, be sure to check out our individual bios.
Julia Zinsmeister – I am a University of Oregon sophomore studying journalism. Throughout my time here at UO, I have developed a passion for print journalism and public relations. As a writer, I am constantly searching for interesting topics to research. Since childhood, I have always had a desire to write creative stories and poems based off the world around me. I have taken my creative writing influence and applied it to my work as a journalist. Although I’m still paving the road to my life, I am constantly intrigued by new adventures and possibilities.
Bryan Stiver – I am a student at the University of Oregon. I was born and raised in southern California where I hope to return later in life. Surfing and snowboarding have always been my passion, and as soon as I was old enough to ride a board I was filming and taking photos right along with it. I’ve loved telling stories through video or photos. I think images transmit more emotion and can impact someone’s views almost instantly.
Hayley Stephens – I’m 20 years old, and a sophomore at the University of Oregon. I moved to Eugene my freshman year from a small town in Wyoming called, Gillette. In Gillette, I lived with my dad, brother, three dogs, and a cat. I graduated from the local high school with the hopes of becoming a journalist. After a year and a half here at the U of O, I have decided to go into Advertising. I’m looking forward to the next two years of college.
