Sanctuary is a live-streamed event of combined live and virtual performance exploring women/queer people of color’s collective experiences of seeking refuge from persecution under the ongoing violence of colonization.
Sanctuary is a collaboration between Ana-Maurine Lara, lead artist, and collaborating artists Akiko Hatakeyama, Rosamond S. King and Courtney Desiree Morris. The live performance features artists Morgan Bates, Kiana Nadonza, Hannah Salbador, and Shira.
