I have experience working on collaborative teams to further our understanding of transgender health disparities and develop interventions for how to address these disparities. For example, I have experience developing targeted HIV-prevention interventions for sexual minority youth (PI’s Dr. Brian Mustanki & Dr. Michele Ybarra). Other projects in this area have included methodological considerations for working with marginalized people, as well as developing scales for capturing lived experiences of transgender and gender diverse people (PI Dr. Jae Puckett).
