With the permission of Martin Holmes at the University of Victoria, WHP has adapted his Image Markup Tool (IMT) for the Mapas Project, offering it as one way off highlighting and annotating details in these pictorial manuscripts. WHP has also used the IMT to generate encoding in XML. Below is a screen shot of one result from a search of the Mapa de Tolcayuca on the Mapas Project website.
