Graduate students and postdocs

Janson Hoeher

Janson is a sixth-year graduate student from upstate New York. He’s been interested in Chemistry since high school. When he took Physical Chemistry at his undergraduate college, SUNY Plattsburgh, he knew it was for him. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games; in particular roguelikes and Pokemon Go. He also likes listening to music and watching anime.

nico conoan nieves

Nico is a fifth-year graduate student from Omaha, Nebraska. Their fascination with energy, love for mathematics, and tendency to take things apart just to see how they go back together support their work in biophysical chemistry. When they’re not playing with lasers, Nico will likely be rock climbing, riding their bicycle, hiking, or otherwise actively enjoying the outdoors.

Kalika Pai

Kalika is a fourth-year graduate student from New Mexico. She is interested in physical chemistry, particularly spectroscopy, and biochemistry. In her free time, she is likely to be keeping her dog entertained, or taking care of her small jungle of houseplants.

Taylor Coulson

Taylor is a second-year graduate student from Arkansas, where she attended the University of Central Arkansas. She has a passion for biochemistry and mathematics, which blend together perfectly in her work in biophysical chemistry. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys any and all Star Wars properties, reads constantly and will always update you on her current book, and will jump at any chance to enjoy the outdoors, particularly the coast.

Satya Yadav

Satya P Yadav is a postdoctoral research scholar from India. Before joining us, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Penn State University (PSU), PA. He earned his PhD in Biophysics from AIIMS New Delhi, India. After graduating from DDU Gorakhpur University, he earned his master’s degree from IIT Kharagpur, India. He’s passionate about single molecule biophysics, biochemistry, and molecular biology. He enjoys making astrology predictions, reading astrology books, watching cricket and football, and enjoying nature, especially coasts and mountains.
