An article is now available in Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters reporting work by graduate student Janson Hoeher. He used fluorescence-detected circular dichroism spectroscopy to study the distribution of stacked and unstacked structures adopted by short RNA sequences. New line of research on long noncoding RNA
We recently received funding from the American Heart Association for a new avenue of research! We will be using single molecule measurements to study a heart-specific long noncoding RNA that gets misregulated when the heart is under stress. We are looking forward to pursuing this exciting project.
Our optics lab is ready for action!
The Widom Lab is up and running!
You might as well not exist if you don’t have a website, and now we do! A warm welcome to the inaugural members of the Widom Lab – graduate students Susan Beaver and Janson Hoeher, summer student Luis Perez Morales, and undergraduates Michael Veirs and Zoe Freeman. I’m very excited to work with you!
