Student Resources and Support

One Stop Student Resources is
a new website that is a comprehensive list of resources available to students. Including academic, wellness, transportation, food, safety, technology, financial and many other resources. The main office may also have lists of resources available for you to give to students.

WGSS Student Resources page

TEP’s collected wellbeing resources. This includes clear information about how to refer students to support, link to slide decks and other resources that Counseling Services has made available to faculty, profile a few faculty members’ approaches to supporting student (and their own) wellbeing, and detail the supports that exist for faculty themselves.

COVID-19 Response

P/NP Grading Options:
To try to reduce stress and pressure students may be feeling about the current shift to remote learning and to help make sure students have fewer obstacles to graduation we have temporarily waived the WGSS departmental maximum credits for Pass/No pass classes. For winter and spring term 2020, all WGSS students may choose the Pass/No Pass (P/NP) grading option for any of their major courses. Under this grading option, a “P” grade will be recorded for a C- or above, and an NP grade will be recorded for a D+ or below. As per the Provost’s recent announcement, students have until July 16, 2020 to declare this grading option for Spring 2020. Please note that this change will not immediately be reflected on student degree guides but the registrar’s office is working diligently with WGSS and many other departments on campus to make this change.
